KBShimmer It's Razz-ical

I can't sleep!  And I haven't posted in forever!  Here is my first post with my new blog name!  I recently made an order from KBShimmer.  I have had a KBShimmer gift card for $50 since Christmas!  I can't believe it has taken me so long to order!  I use way too many exclamation marks!!!

Anyways I noticed a lot of KBShimmers that I wanted are now discontinued and no longer available for purchase on their site and it made me go into panic mode and I bought a bunch of older polishes that I had been eyeing for a while.  And I know I had been eye It's Razz-ical for a long while and it looks so me.  This is a me polish for sure.  It is a purpley pink jelly polish with holographic glitters.  The color appears lighter in my picture in real life it is a tad deeper and more purpley (yes that is a description).

Isn't she gorgeous?  I absolutely love this polish.  It is going on my imaginary favorite list.  

KBShimmer's Oh Splat!

Hello again!  I'm actually pretty bummed tonight.  I wanted to apply to a seemingly amazing job opportunity in the city which I reside and apparently when they say the deadline is February 15, they mean you have to submit the application before that.  Not anytime that day.  :*(  I'm a chronic procrastinator, however, I did do almost my whole resume on Tuesday, but I have not applied for a job in such a long time that wanted to research how to write a cover letter and didn't get a chance too.  So since it was almost the end of the 15th I was just going to submit what I had, and I missed it!  I'm actually crying right now.  I don't hate my current job really.  I just hate that I work so far, and I hate that I'm stressed, and I hate that I don't feel like I'm good at my job.  This all just snowballs and my kids suffer.  Ugh!  Love them so much, but man can they bug when I'm moody and grumpy from work.

Anyways, enough of my whining.   Why yes, I will have some cheese with my whine!

I wanted to showcase my first indie crush.  KBShimmer's Oh Splat!  This is the first indie polish that I really really really wanted.  I'm so happy to have it in my collection.  And it is actually the first time I'm wearing it.  It is so fun to wear!

Application is the same as most of these milky glitters.  The polish is a bit gooey and while there is no fishing for glitters with this polish, you probably have to strategize (is this a word?  My spell check says not) where you want the glitters and maneuver the brush to place the glitters.  I used three coats in the pictures below.  There was one curling glitter you can kind of see it on my pointer finger.  But it was only one and it was hardly noticeable after my coat of Gelous and Wicked Fast.

This looks like candy on my nails!  I want to eat them.

Isn't this polish so awesome?  Sorry for my dry hands and cuticles.  

KBShimmer: Hex Appeal

I have another one of my Christmas presents to show!  It is from KBShimmer and it's called Hex Appeal.  Here is a description from their website, "A navy jelly base with magenta holographic, silver, and blue hex glitter. Tiny micro bar glitter adds a bit of pop."

Here I used 4 coats.  It seems like a a lot, well, actually it is a lot, but I liked the look with 4 coats.  After 3 I could still see some slight bald spots in the direct light.  Next time I might use a base color because 4 coats seems like a lot now, Revlon's Royal might be a good choice.  This polish was pretty easy to apply.  It looks really patchy and uneven with the first couple of coats, but it looked really good after 3 or 4.  Glitters applied really easily because this polish is so dense with glitters.  I just love a jelly based glitter bomb!

New Year's Nails! KBShimmer Band Geek

I always have big plans for my nails, and never actually execute my plans.  Boo.  And I actually planned on trying out some nail art!  But with 3 kids and one being a terrible sleeper, that didn't happen.  I wanted to at least use one of the pretties that my brother got me for Christmas!  He got me 10 KBShimmer polishes!  That was such a surprise!  Even though I gave him a list of the polishes I wanted, I didn't expect him to get almost all of them.  I feel so special!=.

I absolutely love them all.  But for New Years I chose Band Geek!  It screamed to me New Year's Eve Party!  Even though I'll just be hanging with 6 kids all under the age of 10 tonight.  :D  Good times!  It is a black jelly with tons of silver, gold and copper glitters of all shapes and sizes!
